Envenoming

  • Enervating Poison basically reduces the Str/Con of the target. So if a target had 1400/1400HP with 120Con, your debuff might bring it down to 900/900HP with 70Con or something to that effect. As for the Str debuff, it might encumber your victim [in RvR], it would also mean they hit you for less dmg. Imagine org-con hitting you for 80-110 dmg versus 180 - 210+ non-debuffed. In RvR, enemies would hit you for less too. Xee tests found Major Enervating lowered Yellow Rooterís damage by 25% (14hp x 5hits = 70hp avg per melee) --At 36 Zee found Lesser Enervating poison only helped take about 40hp (10%) less damage in a yellow dunter fight.
  • Disease Poisons hinder passive hp regeneration, reduce the effectiveness of heal spells, small strength debuff, and have a snare effect. The disease snare effect does not wear off on the next hit. It lasts the full duration. (post update -- Disease poisons were rumord to 'snare' a target. However this didn't prove to be the case with all 3 highest forms of disease poison. Talatha and I raced a good 100 yard after the disease was applied. We stayed even the whole time. What was interesting though is that disease negated Sprint. Small Str debuff might encumber too.) (post) disease poison healers so the instas fail or your toast due to insta mez and nuked to death. Try DOTs on healer to interupt their healing ability.
  • Snare poisons are actually "root" poisons, but since the root is broken after the next damage (bleed/poison) they donít seem very useful. Maybe to keep in reserve on spare weapon to aid escape then re stealth for 2nd round. I tested this on MOBs in PvE and they did NOT root. Maybe RvR... still testing. Update - minor crippling did root for a 'short' time (about 2 seconds)or until bleed/dot. too bad perf causes bleeding. .. OK 5/20/02 rumor that it will stun and hold your enemy... maybe only in RvR... still testing. Ok found this post but I wanna see for myself still 4/26/02 -- It has been confirmed that these(crippling) do NOT break on damage and that this is how they are intended to work for assassins.
